into the woods

i signed matt and mason up for a father/son wilderness adventure with mason's group at church. we were told that it was a lot of fun and the list of activities appealed to mason. matt is not a camper, but he was game.

as this week slipped by, it occurred to me that we hadn't really heard anything more about the trip and we weren't too sure about what supplies they would need. the flier had said "tent or shelter camping" so we assumed that there would be cabins for those who preferred to be inside.

nope.

i asked at church yesterday (when i went in to set up for sunday) and learned that it was sleeping in a tent or on the ground in a pavilion. i immediately sent matt a text saying that if he knew someone with a tent, he should try and borrow one! i was working on trying to find/borrow him a sleeping bag and some other supplies. thankfully, he found one.

so off into the woods they go! sleep well! love.
