instead of normal midweek programs, our church hosted a "missions' night" as part of missions' month. we went to this event a few years ago and madelyn still retains much of the information she learned that night - including praying for the water supply in mozambique.
tonight the kids were given passports with information about the following countries where our church supports missions: cambodia, india, vietnam, mozambique and yucatan, mexico. they then went to different rooms around the building to get stamps in their passports and learn about life in those countries. the church took the picture of madelyn in this post grinding corn (mason is next to her). i wasn't there with them, but i think that this was in mozambique.
the kids loved learning about all of the different places where we try to help others around the world. it gives them a lot of perspective on their own life. love.
