the student council put together themes for friday spirit days at madelyn's school. today's theme was "dress for success." the idea was that students could dress like their future career. madelyn knew right away that she would dress as a chemist (this is her newest science-based career choice). the problem was pulling back her creativity and reminding her that she was still going to school. she had a clipboard, goggles, plastic test tubes, a pen, a magnifying glass, a plastic beaker and she wanted a pencil behind her ear but i told her that she would have to choose goggles or pencil - her ear could only hold so much! love her.
