fire safety build at home depot

the october kids' workshop at home depot is usually extra exciting because of fire safety month. today did not disappoint! first we built some fire trucks. then home depot gifted the kids with another building set and lots of goodies to take home.

maddux was given some praise from one of the local firemen.

we then feasted on free hot dogs, coffee and cookies.

there were several local agencies with tables set up. the kids were very taken with this therapy dog.

and who can pass up face painting? the genius part? they used watercolor pencils! i was super impressed.
