now that we are finally finished hosting and traveling, we moved manning into his crib in madelyn's room. he is the only one of the kids that slept in our room for the first few weeks and i am glad to have him in his 'real' bed now.he did great! he got up once (he typically only gets up once to feed at night between 1:30 and 3:30) and then again between 5 and 6am. madelyn did great having him in there too. she is a very heavy sleeper so i wasn't too worried. the cutest thing was that she was super excited to have manning in her room at last and told me that if i was too tired to feed him when he cried that she would sing him some lullabies for me.
and, don't worry, the pictures are not from his first night's sleep. i just laid him in there to recreate it for the picture. he doesn't sleep with all of the blankets or toys in there with him. love.

Thanks for the clarification... I was getting ready to contact someone in Ohio (you know I'm kidding, right?) I love that you felt the need to do so. Madelyn is super sweet to offer to help. At first I thought you were going to say she offered to feed him :) Have all four kids had that crib? Lorelai's was recalled, so we've had two, actually three.
yes, all four have now used it. matt did have to buy some new bolts but it is hanging in there.
