tonight we went to meet mason's 3-year-old teacher at the preschool. he is going to be with miss r. her room is right next door to the 2-year-old class and he liked knowing that last year's teachers would be so close that he could say hi each morning; he also said hi tonight with a big hug.
this is miss r's first year teaching at the preschool and the word is that she is very good (from past experience and the impression on his teacher from last year - or so i heard through mops). i brought the camera but left my bag in the car - so no pictures of the first meeting.
mason is super excited about his classroom. we found his hook outside for his jacket and the cubbie inside with his name for his show-and-tell items. madelyn pointed out a tank and mason found hermit crabs inside which has him very excited.
he was shy at first but warmed up to his teacher right away. while we were looking around the room mason said that he wanted to tell his teacher something. i told him that would be fine and followed him back over to her. he wanted to tell her that he was three. she was sweet enough to act impressed and shared that there should be other kids that are three in the class too. mason thought that was pretty great.
looking forward to another great year of preschool for our ever growing boy! love.
