first smiles

there have been several eye contact smiles over the past week or two but today was the first ones where i was confident that it wasn't just gas or reflex.  he smiled every time i looked over and said, "hi"!  and the mystery is over - he does have a dimple!  the false smiles made it difficult to tell and a nurse had said that he had one but i didn't think he had a big dimple, just little ones near his mouth.  but there is a dimple.  it is low in his left cheek - really more like it is in the jawline.  you can't see it as well in this picture but it is on his left side (right side in the picture).  the kids can't wait until he can laugh at them.  love.
