last day of school until 2010

after mason's doctor appointment we went to pick up madelyn from school. since it was the last day before the winter break she had a lot to bring home. i had to ask the teacher to help be combine everything to fit in the two bags i send to school with her because i was having trouble holding mason and stuffing everything in. (remember she has snow boots, snowsuit, hat, and gloves in one back and then a backpack with the state required two blankets, her lunch box, and water cup.)

madelyn was really excited about the wreath she had made "with berries on it" and couldn't stop talking about it. she wasn't nearly as excited about the gift she had made for us. i don't know what is in the bag (and, honestly, it doesn't seem that madelyn knows either) but it is under the tree for christmas morning.

the other surprise was a print of her picture with santa that they took last week. its actually not that bad of a picture. i think madelyn was more excited about the candy cane in the picture than santa. for her the picture brought back fond memories of sitting at our kitchen table and eating the candy cane last week.

she won't go back to school until january 4. i know it will be hard for her to be out that long but at least i will be off from work and able to give her more attention. love.
