yesterday i had to call in sick because mason and i both had fevers on monday night and i was in pretty rough shape on tuesday. i felt a little funny calling in sick because tuesday was also my birthday. but i was sincerely sick. thankfully, mason was faring much better than i was. he was just a little fussy and tired but none of the congestion i have.
poor madelyn had the worst deal because she was fine, it was a beautiful day, and she had to stay inside with us sickies. she was so good. she brought be tissues, helped with mason, took a nap with me when i asked her to, and kept a happy attitude all day. as a thank you, i let her color easter eggs. i was a little brave because i would get her set and then go lay down while the eggs colored. here she is happily coloring:
i am a little better today but still wearing out a box of tissues. at least my head has stopped floating and my ears have stopped ringing. mason is totally back to normal. i am so glad that he didn't have a long run with this illness.
thank you to everyone who called and wished me happy birthday. i am sorry that i didn't call most of you back. i was just too tired and couldn't talk any more. love.

You would think Maddie was 5 years old the way she takes charge of decorating the eggs. She is sooo excited! I am glad you are feeling better.
Hope you're better by now :) How impressive that madelyn was able to color eggs by herself with no issues. that's awesome!!
