have stool, will travel

maddux loves the stool from the bathroom. the one that is considered 'his' is made of wood and too heavy to carry around, but the one that is considered 'mason's' has a handle and is highly portable.

and maddux brings it everywhere.

anytime he sees something that interests him, he runs off for the stool and takes a look. he likes to use it the most when i am in the kitchen preparing food or washing dishes.

while making lunch he 'asks' me which plate is his and then moves his stool closer to that spot at the counter. yesterday he was poking his finger in the jelly and licking it off after determining which one was his. and when i told him that his sandwich was ready he took it down and used his stool for his other favorite purpose - a table. he ate his sandwich in the kitchen until madelyn and mason came to the table to eat their lunch.

like i said, he loves his independence! love.

A toddler and his/her stool can be very resourceful. And those few extra inches sure help with the independence.

Maddux is quite the character! He has such a love for life and it will be fun watching him grow. Soon he won't need a stool!!
