turkey day

it was just our family for thanksgiving this year. the kids were really excited about it, but i am not really sure what the appeal is for them. they don't really like the dinner - at least not as much as daddy does! i guess they like the helping in the kitchen all day and that it is a holiday with a lot of build up at school. madelyn is wearing the turkey hat she made in school while helping break the eggs for our french toast breakfast. she was wearing it when she got off the bus yesterday and greeted me with a "gobble, gobble".

i love that we have a day to celebrate our thankfulness. we talk about being thankful a lot around here. especially when we really and truly have so much to be thankful for every day. the kids had fun seeing who was the most thankful for our family. there was a lot of love all day long.

we hope that you all had a wonderful thanksgiving filled with lots of good eats and thankfulness! love.
