april fool

so here i am.  the april fool.  yes, i spent a long time going through all the papers yesterday and putting information and dates on the calendar.  yes, i have a calendar on my phone, in the coat room, in the office and hard copies posted when they are given.  yes, i knew mason didn't have school.  so why did i take madelyn to school?  because i am the april fool.

i had a thought for a second when i pulled into the empty parking lot that maybe all the teachers had parked somewhere else as an april fool's joke, but then i quickly realized that there were no other cars there to drop off either.  oops.  one more day of spring break.

it is really funny when you consider the rushed morning that included maddux pooping in his pull-up and then sitting on the carpet to take it off, me trying to frantically clean it up while keeping manning from crawling into the poop on the floor, lots of crying by everyone about madelyn having to go to school and just having to hurry in general and there just might have been some yelling from mommy (please hear the sarcasm).  i was a little rusty with our routine too and almost forgot to make her lunch.  at the last minute i decided that since we would already be in the car i would go ahead and swing by bjs to pick up a few things and was trying to find their coupon book on the way out the door.  but we made it on time; well it would have been on time if there had been school.

we'll just call it a dry run for tomorrow.  love.
