24-hours in indiana

uncle derek was bringing ashley to meet his grandma in indiana this weekend. papa and nana were going to drive up and join them. and matt's cousin from arizona, who matt and i haven't seen since 1999/2000 new year's, was also visiting indiana with her two kids. so we made a quick over night trip to join in the super-sized visit.

we met them at matt's favorite restaurant there - mr. dave's - and then stopped by a park for the kids to burn off some car ride energy before going back to great grandma r.'s.

just like always, one gets a video, they all want a video...

i came well prepared to keep the kiddos busy while we visited.

but then the boys came up with their own game - roll across the room. it was perfect because they burned energy in a relatively small space.

before we left great grandma r.'s, i had to take a picture of "donald trump bird."
we were all meeting up at uncle dennis and aunt joy's farm for a "wienie roast."

this was a surprise shot of our whole family by matt's cousin.

room to run.

papa and manning were the last to finish their brownies and homemade ice cream.

we couldn't head home without one more trip to mr. dave's. we couldn't have had nicer weather during our visit! even in the middle of the day, it was cool enough to comfortably sit outside for lunch.

then it was time to say good-bye to everyone and head back home. it was a pretty perfect 24-hour visit. love.

wow! y'all did a LOT in 24 hours! How long is the drive? All that outdoor fresh air - soft green grass - ahhhh! I love it! Great group pictures, too.
