it has taken us all summer to work out a date, but today is finally the day when we are taking our annual 'birthday' pictures of the kids. instead of going to jcpenny, as we have every other year, we hired a friend of mine to take the pictures at a local garden she recommended.
i snapped a few pictures at home for them to practice their smiles.
the garden was really awesome! there were all these different little nooks to explore. it is clearly a popular place for pictures as there were three other groups taking pictures when we got there.

i can't wait to see what she got and am already planning some family shots this fall... love.

Love the kids' outfits! Group/family pictures can be a hassle to organize, and can get expensive, but when we do it, I'm always so pleased with a great shot, and how much better the quality of the pictures is than when I take them.
