the boys are always a little lost when the school year starts and their leader abandons them for the bulk of the day. this morning they clearly spent some time playing with the ipad after brushing their teeth.

after a few errands we went for a bike ride. madelyn doesn't like bike rides for the sake of a ride, but the boys love them. we didn't go far, maybe three or four miles. my load was heavy with manning and all of the pool gear. it didn't help that i had spent an hour on the elliptical that morning.

we rode our bikes over to the pool for a quick swim before meeting madelyn at the bus stop. and we just made it too! we had a quick snack and then drove back over to the pool with madelyn too. these warm, homework free afternoons are great! love.
