"christmas in july"

a local frozen yogurt place was having a "christmas in july" event where if you wore a santa hat 10% of your purchase went to matt's hospital and the two best costumes were going to be given a $10 gift card.  i thought that the kids would enjoy seeing their christmas decorations (more impressive than the ones in the picture but the kids wanted to be with the gingerbread house behind the counter) and matt had golf so the kids and i had a super late afternoon snack and then went up to get a sweet treat.  they (and i) were pretty excited.

i was able to find three christmas hats pretty quickly without having to open too much in the basement.  i thought about finding some christmas shirts but figured the costumes would be pretty good.  we didn't even see someone else where a santa hat though!  we might have had a good chance at the gift card if we had worn shirts too.  oh well.  the kids were just happy to have a hint of christmas.  love.
