maddux 6-month check-up

this morning we took maddux for his 6-month check-up.  daddy was able to join us too!  this was daddy's first time meeting our pediatrician.

here are maddux' stats:

height - 29.53 inches (99th percentile)
weight - 19 lbs. 11.76 oz. (75th percentile)
head - 18.11 inches (80th percentile)

the nurses and doctor were surprised by how strong he was - particularly when the doctor was trying to examine him.  he does not like to be poked and prodded in any way.  i have to restrain him most of the time to trim his finger nails and can only do a few at a time because he gets so mad about it.

he also has a serious bite on him!  daddy has called out in pain more than once about his thumb getting chomped.  and today maddux has tooth #6 completing his bottom four teeth and giving him one more tool of torture.

maddux is getting more and more mobile and is getting a little better about sitting up (when i remember to let him try).  i think i might try him in a shopping cart soon.

he is settling in to a consistent 2 hours in the morning, 3 hours in the afternoon, 12 hours at night sleep routine which has really helped.  if we are out and about in the morning, he most likely won't nap because he is more interested in what is going on around him.

he is still a very smiley boy!  and he is loved very much.  love.
