today is the warmest it has been at one of madelyn's games. it was the first time she even broke a sweat. she was a little tired and just not that into playing. she went through the motions and even got up to the head of the pack a few times but her heart (and head) were not in the game. but there was no crying and she didn't quit.
i think her whole team was a little out of it because they were a little lethargic out there. and if they kept score it would not have been even remotely close.
on the ride over to the fields madelyn was coaching mason and maddux on cheering for her on the "yellow team" instead of the "blue team" this week (the color depends on if you are the home or visitor team each week - every field has a yellow and a blue team). it was pretty cute. and it was even funnier when madelyn was sitting out and cheering for her team by yelling "go blue!"
we were all sweating by the time we got to the car and madelyn and maddux were both crying. mason took several opportunities throughout the day to point out that he was the only one that had a "good attitude" at soccer.we also got her team pictures. how funny is her expression?! that is her 'i-am-keeping-my-eyes-open-and-looking-at-the-camera-like-mommy-told-me' expression. love.

Madelyn's picture is hilarious... looks like its from the 90s, too. I love that Mason pointed out his winner attitude. Adorable. Lorelai had a really hard time 'keeping her head in the game' as the season wore on, and especially as it got hotter (when she was 3).
