dishwasher or washing machine safe only
this is my current policy for purchases - if it won't go in my washing machine or dishwasher, i don't want it. now if you have extra time for hand washing (clothes or dishes/kitchen gear) or dropping and picking up dry cleaning - go for it! but for me, there is not really anything needing special care that i need that bad. i am sure that this will change when i don't have to worry about constantly being spit up on or touched with sticky hands - maybe.
