reading at school

madelyn's teacher told us about two student helpers in the classroom from a local university during the parent-teacher conference. tonight i was checking out her class' site and found a picture of madelyn reading to jeff. jeff is a basketball player who comes a few hours a week to listen to the kids read one on one. it is special because he sits with them in the hallway and just listens. her teacher told us that the kids really enjoy their time with jeff. madelyn hasn't mentioned it yet (she largely relays info about recess drama and her 'special' of the day). she does love sharing her reading though. love.

Very cool. I'm loving her hairdo, too.

That is so great. It probably helps the kids learn how great reading is and how fun it is to share it. Love the picture.
