madelyn looked a little pale when she got off the bus yesterday afternoon but i thought she was just tired. today she woke up looking awful and running a low fever so i kept her home from school. her fever went up to 102 or so and i gave her some medicine. she basically lounged on the couch all day looking pitiful. i knew she wasn't feeling well when she didn't eat anything, even 'treats' (bread at dinner, frozen yogurt, etc.).
i wasn't too surprised that she was sick because her little friend at school was out yesterday. she picked a great time to get sick because her teacher was at a conference, we had no plans for the weekend (the only one this month) and it was already going to be a three-day weekend - plenty of time to recover.
thankful that this is a fairly minor illness. love.
