nana arrived around bedtime last night so today was the kids first chance to really 'play' with her. madelyn and mason had school so i left maddux and manning at home with nana and went to the gym for my water aerobics class. nana took some pictures of the boys who were quite happy to show her their toys.
when i got home from the gym, i gathered everyone up to go and pick up mason, pick up lunch and head to the park. we tried a new place for lunch that has great reviews and is healthy but in a difficult location with no drive through so i have been hesitant to drag the boys in. it wasn't cheap, but it was really delicious! we ate at the park and had failed to get a fork for nana's salad. she was a great sport about it and just wrapped the chicken salad in pieces of lettuce to eat it.
the boys had asked to take nana to the park when i asked the kids about what they wanted to do with nana while she was here. we had a gorgeous day and the boys were happy to show her all of the things they can and like to do.
it is going to be beautiful while nana is here visiting so we are going to make the most of it! love.

The weather does look beautiful. Love the 'old school' metal slide. So nice yo have an extra set of hands for a bit.
