mom and dad's night out

after our trip to the zoo, i rushed home to drop everyone off and go pick up matt for our meeting with the cabinetry people before having a night out together.  i had planned on taking a shower and looking nice for matt, but it just wasnt' meant to be.  i barely had time to explain what there was for dinner and bed time procedures before tearing out to get matt.
we took maddux with us and got all of our cabinetry picked out for the house.  since we were downtown we decided to try a restaurant nearby.  it was amazing!  it was one of the best meals i have had in a very long time and it was wonderful to spend the time with matt (and maddux). 

since we ate an earlier dinner, we thought that we would drop maddux off with grandma and spend some

 time with just the two of us running a few errands.  see, matt and i are getting old, tired, and boring.  we wanted to be home around 8pm so that i could put maddux to bed.  and we just don't have anywhere to go anyway.  but we were able to walk around the mall holding hands with each other (instead of small children or strollers) and buy some easter basket treats for the kids.  all in all, a great night out.

the kids were all still up when we got home.  grandma had dressed them all in the matching pajama sets she brought - super snuggly, warm pants and lightweight shirts.  each set came with a little stuffed animal version of the animal featured on their shirt.  since they all 'matched', we tried to get a picture of them all together.  we didn't get any great ones, but it was already past bedtime and we had tried.  love.
