madelyn's school had a field trip today to see a performance by the akron symphony orchestra. i think that the theme was 'the little engine that could'. i wasn't too sure where we were going and we were a little late. the distance from the parking lot to the performance was at least a five minute walk. i was half dragging the kids and wearing maddux in the moby wrap. i even ended up carrying mason too because he couldn't walk fast enough. (madelyn's teacher had the tickets and i hate being late.)
it was a little ballroom where the orchestra was set up and the audience just sat on the floor - very casual. there were ballerinas acting out the narrator's story. it was pretty cute and mason was very in to it. madelyn said that she didn't like it when we were leaving. she later decided that she really liked it when daddy asked her about it during dinner.
it was sunny and the performance had only lasted a half hour, so i thought that we would make a stop at the park before lunch. we weren't there very long because madelyn decided that she had to go to the bathroom (even though i asked her to go before we left the performance). they did have some time to swing though. love.

hee hee love the last two pics. lorelai does the same thing with disliking an event, then magically liking it later (or vice versa).
