i had told the kids that if we had any broken crayons left after we finished all of the class valentines that they could make their own. we hadn't talked about it again because there weren't even enough broken crayons to finish the class ones. but then i found my other bag of broken crayons i was collecting while we lived in the apartment when i was getting out the pig puppets!
mason had no interest and asked to take a nap instead - still getting over his illness. madelyn and maddux sorted their colors from the pieces and we had enough to make four more crayons. they were pretty excited to try them out while mason was napping. love.
(p.s. and, yes, madelyn is still wearing her dance clothes from the night before.)
