so last night we heard mason coughing and crying as matt and i were turning everything off to go to sleep. i told him that i thought mason was throwing up and he should go take a look before getting into bed (he was already walking around and i was almost asleep, not just lazy). yep. mason had thrown-up in his bed. mason is a funny one because when he is tired he doesn't really care about anything else and he will just sleep in it. he does not want to wake up. the last time he had the stomach bug and was sleeping on the floor of our bathroom, i would have to go in and hold him in a sitting position while he begged to just go back to sleep.
so out of bed i went to strip down mason's bed while matt got him in the shower in our room. (we were desperate not to wake maddux.) i ended up having to get in the shower with him to get everything out of his hair and scrub off what was dried to his cheek. matt made him up a bed on the floor of our room right next to the bathroom while we were getting cleaned up. when mason saw it he said, "thanks for making me the best bed ever, dad." (or something very similar - if matt were here i would ask him.) even when miserable and totally drained, mason is still the sweetest kid. we just marvel at him sometimes.
he threw-up a few more times after that and maddux came in to join us too (he just likes to come sleep in our room). thankfully, matt was able to sleep through it all. i hate when he has to go to work tired from the kids'.
love.

Nothing worse than the throw-ups for not only the child, but parents too! Mason is such a sweetie. I hope no one else gets it. Love to you all, Nana
