fresh air

the kids are feeling better and getting a little crazy. i am getting a little crazy too. we are not used to being inside this much! at least in wisconsin it was sunny so we could be outside when it was cold and not be too uncomfortable. today looks like our best day for the next week - mid 30s after lunch and mostly sunny. the kids and i bundled up to take a ride/walk around the neighborhood after lunch and before manning wanted to go down for his nap.

manning is the first one who has been willing to wear little baby mittens

when we went out i was a little worried that it was going to be too windy for manning and that he would cry the whole time. nope. it was madelyn and mason who took turns crying! madelyn had a few times where she couldn't get her bike going again and mason started to get tired and cold about half-way through and just cried the rest of the way home. i didn't feel too bad for him since i had asked (begged) for him to put his gloves on and wear a coat instead of his vest. i reminded him how he had been cold and cried when he was helping daddy this weekend because he had not worn his gloves. oh well. we didn't go that far and he never stopped riding his bike so i think it was more tired than cold.

maddux and manning on the other hand were having a delightful time in the wagon! they were cracking up and playing with each other most of the time.

i am happy that we got out into the sunshine for a bit. it makes me really excited for spring and trips to the park and zoo, walks on the trail, swimming in the pool and playing in the yard. and it will be nice to have everyone mobile!

but we have a few more months where we just have to get out when we can. so thankful for the sunshine today. love.
