valentine's crafts

i wanted to do some little crafts with the kids this week. first because it is fun and second because it makes it easier for me to sit at the table with them and work on crayon peeling and sewing while still having some fun.
monday we made paper hearts to hang as decorations
tuesday we made 'heart monsters'
wednesday we used toilet paper roll heart stamps to make valentines for daddy. mason asked to go back to bed and fell back to sleep but he made one later just before daddy got home. i had to hide it under his bed for him while the paint was still wet! mason wasn't so sure, but i told him it was fine as long as he didn't touch it.
and we didn't make the last one, but madelyn brought it home from art class today. the picture doesn't do it justice. it is red and black paint poppies on a field of green pastel drawn on black paper. the red is so vibrant. i told matt that i want to frame this one because i like it so much.

mason has been vomit free most of the day so i think we might be able to send him to school tomorrow. i am happy that he won't have to miss his parties. love.

Nice! Love Madelyn's picture. I still have one of Matt's primary pictures hanging up. Glad Mason is better. Nana

I just can't stand all these cute (and simple) crafts! I need to be more ambitious!
