super hero and princess camps

the teacher who led madelyn's dance class a few months ago offered a super hero camp for boys - tumbling, stories, crafts, etc. and a princess camp for girls - princess lessons, dancing, stories, crafts, etc.  i quickly signed our kids up and posted information to our mops group to try and get some of their friends.  both classes were pretty full.  most of the boys were in full super hero costumes where we had opted for just a super hero shirt.  the girls were not as elaborate, but there were some costumes. here are a few pictures of the kids all ready to go.  there was a lot of deliberation over which outfit they each would wear.

it was convenient to have the camps be back to back but it means that i have to keep maddux and manning entertained for two hours.  for dance class we would just read books and color at some tables but for the camps they have us waiting in the gym.  at first i wasn't sure about sitting on the bleachers but the facility let us use their basketballs and other kinds of balls in the gym.  the boys had so much fun!  it worked out really well.
they kids had so much fun.  all four of them.  mason's theme for the day was iron man and he came out with a mask and 'button' craft.  madelyn made a wand out of a pencil.  we are all excited to see what tomorrow will bring.  love.
