i am sorry...

madelyn had a rough start to the week at school moving down once yesterday at school (but still ending up on blue - positive) and today she moved down twice and ended the day on "yellow". we were not pleased to hear that she had two days in a row where she was not obedient to her teacher. she didn't want to tell us what she had done because she "can't remember". i told her that if she could not remember before going to be that we would have to email her teacher to find out since it had been two days in a row.

miraculously, her memory returned shortly after dinner and she said that she had been talking at 'rug time' (yesterday she had given someone holding the door a high-five).

madelyn was truly sorry that she had to move her clip down, that she had disappointed us and made things difficult for her teacher. we talked about how she might handle things in the future and what she could do for her teacher as an appology.

she decided to write her a note (for some reason she was making her letters backwards - not typical at all) and then she added a picture of the color chart and a "sad Madelyn" moving her clip down. she didn't want to write a long note so she insisted on cutting a small piece of paper but then it was too small to fit her picture so she cut and glued two more pieces on before it was completed.

it made madelyn feel pretty good to make that for her teacher. unfortunately i didn't get a picture of the finished product because she wanted to put it right into her backpack so that she wouldn't forget it. love.

Amazing how the memory comes back. Her note was a very nice sentiment.
