we still wanted to take madelyn out for a celebration dinner for her "character champion" award. her choice for dinner? mcdonalds. we tried to talk her into some of her other favorites, that she often asks to go to, but she could not be swayed. oh well. at least it was more affordable than what we had in mind.
there was a cute leprechaun cut-out that all of the kids had to try while daddy was ordering our dinner.
to make the evening feel a little more celebratory we took her over to friendly's for ice cream. the wait was crazy long, but it was worth it.

we were all stuffed and i am afraid we didn't do grandma any favors after all the work she has been doing to eat healthier. it was a great evening of celebrating madelyn's achievement. love.

Yum! Fun that grandma was there, too. My kids always opt for CFA or McDs when they are told they could go ANYWHERE - so funny But like you said, affordable.
