easter snack

mason had an Easter egg hunt party at school today and i had signed up for a snack (i didn't think i would be much help at the party with maddux and manning too). these 'nests' were a little crumbly, but really tasty! they are intended for fresh fruit and yogurt (which would be really good too) but i made them in a mini-muffin pan and used chocolate eggs. they are super, super easy.

wheat 'nests'

2 cups shredded wheat (we used frosted mini-wheats, but i think anything similar would work)

1/4 cup shredded coconut

3 Tbsp. butter, melted (i may try coconut oil instead next time)

mix together and press into muffin pan (you might want to use liners) to create 'cups'. bake at 350 for 10 minutes. cool and enjoy.

it sounds like they were a hit with the kids and parents. love.
