first pancakes

look at that happy face. manning was fighting me on eating his porridge breakfast because he is insisting on feeding himself and wasn't falling for my 'decoy' spoon. so i gave in and let him have some pancakes (banana and ricotta - yummy and very soft). he was thrilled to pieces at getting some breakfast he could feed himself. silly boy. love.

I say go with it- skip as much as the 'baby' food as possible. Another friend who blogs says her little one detests purees, so she's giving more soft table foods, earlier than she intended. I would LOVE to skip the puree stage (if baby is ready, of course).

i am all for table foods! maddux was eating peanut butter and jelly before 10 months! as long as they can chew without choking, i jump to finger foods as much as possible. we are going to start pushing him a little.
