we went to the zoo for lunch and some fresh air. injuries aside, we had a nice time. here are some pictures from our day. love.

we went to check out the garden to see if any of the flowers were blooming yet (a few were). they were both so happy to be sitting on the caterpillar at the center of the "maze". madelyn takes a windy path, but mason takes the circle path all the way around the outside perimeter before walking down a straight path on the other side. i couldn't get them both smiling at the same time so these are the best of each of them.

Cool beans on the 1000th post. I love how her self-chosen outfits still always kind of match. Like they never look that far off to me - they kind of 'work'
The girl in pink! Sorry you had a rough week. Wish you lived here so you could just drop them off for a couple hrs. Of course I wouldn't be much help since I work. It sounds like you had and deserved a nice break at the zoo. Too bad about the accidents. Hope Matt helped out this today to give you a break. Love, Nana
Well, "always" might be a little strong, but she does give most of her outfits a lot of thought. Some of her layering is inspired - I could learn a thing or two...
