don't forget to google
it wasn't really until this year that i stopped trying to only use my tired, overtasked brain to come up with ways to keep the kids busy. have you ever heard of "google"? (she asked very sarcastically.) now we google anything they want to do or make. you might have read my post about paper boats in october, mason wanted to do a boat craft. fifteen minutes later they were sailing boats in a pan of water and i was making dinner in peace. or they want something special as a snack - quick search and we are all trying something new. we also have been using youtube to find movies about operation christmas child (when the boys couldn't get why we were doing it), different instruments from their word books and old-school (read: less scary) versions of super hero theme-songs.
what do you like to "google" with/for the kids?
love.
